As many of you now know, the Obama administration fired GM CEO Rick Wagoner. The Obama administration was heavily criticized last week for its desire to take over failing companies that had received bailout money. And now with GM, Obama has usurped the role of the Board of Directors and thumbed his nose at GM shareholders who are supposed to be the ones deciding when a CEO should be fired.
But what irks me the most is that Obama is applying a double standard between Detroit and Wall Street. The Wall Street banks have received tens of billions in loans and are not under a timetable to restructure, whereas GM and Chrysler are. Furthermore, the restrictions on Wall Street are so relaxed that AIG, Citi, and other banks were allowed to pay bonuses! Obama has not asked the AIG CEO to step down, yet as a precondition for GM to even have a chance to survive its CEO of 30 years needs to leave?
How can anyone from Southeast Michigan not be even slightly annoyed by this?
I’ve come to the conclusion that you can’t trust anything you see in magazines, take for instance the before and after photos of the coffee, my noobie skills can do this. Imagine the editors at people magazine etc fixing up celeberty photos, or food magazines making things look tastey…all fake
Had my yearly physical last year…I have good lungs and liver. However my cholestoral levels are f’ked. My LDL is like 160 and my HDL is like 39
My Triglycerides are only 69, so it’s not my diet! Which means its all heriditary stuff thanks mom and dad! They thought about giving me a statin, but I am not even 30 so f’ that.
I also asked about my back pain, and the doctor gave me two shots, one was codine? the other Valium…valium is great. Makes you feel all relaxed etc, don’t know if i needed it, but i wasn’t gonna turn down a presecription
So valium and vicodine for me - i am such a wanna be druggy.

Went to the shooting range today with my Marine buddy from work (Recon Special Forces). He offered to give me some training on safety and let me borrow his two hand cannons…I couldn’t pass it up. If you’ve never shot a 45mm gun before, that’s right 45mm, not the 9mm that hear about in rap songs, just forget about what you think you know - e.g. the movies when you see a guy running with two big ass guns and shooting bad guys e.g. Clint Eastwood and his one handed aim and shoot of a Colt 45 Magnum. (NOT POSSIBLE)
Anyways - i was nervous as hell. After shooting off about six magazines, rougly 75 rounds, I still wasn’t comfortable holding a weapon that can kill people/myself. So I plan on taking a saftey course which could then lead to a firearms license and permit to carry a concealed weapon etc etc.
On a side note…I’ve always said I wanted to have a shot gun for home defense against zombies, aliens and the random day after tomorrow scenarios when social order breaks down…but I question the type of person that drives around with a concealed weapon in their car…I mean what do they think is gonna happen driving in the suburbs? To each their own.
A big WTF moment for me is this. EGM is now cancelled?

My brother and I have been buying this magazine over a decade now. There is a huge stash underneath Wii’s bed as if they were norp. I gotta say I’m quite sad about it.
What makes it worse is I had a two year subscription as a gift from the cousins.
I truly do apologize Wii for knocking your post down so early but the feeling I have right now urges me to write this post.
What is the feeling you ask? It is the feeling of hurtful failure.
As most of you know I have been raiding in WoW lately. Vault of Arch, OS, 10 man, heroics, etc…all things that are easy.
I’ve been quite brave have tried 3 forms of Naxx now, and in all 3 I have failed in some way but the last one might have been the most devastating.
To make things short I was stuck in a Vent with 9 other dudes telling me how much I suck. We went through 3 bosses I did fine on the first two (making some minor mistakes) but then really screwed up on the last boss with Thaddeus.
The group still beat the boss even without me (apparently he is really easy) and we finished 4 in the morning with insults that would rival Wii on his bad days in arena.
Went to an evening MBA info session in A2 last night. They have this brand new building, it’s pretty amazing. A distant second would be University of Chicago (Booth).
The faculty was smart and informed, the students were helpfully and the program seemed pretty darn good. Supposedly this year is tougher than normal with all the lay offs - many people are deciding to wait out the job market by going to school. I should have my application into Ross by early May.
Even the most divisive issues have common ground. AKA Senator Grassley, a republican from Iowa has said that AIG execs can do 1 of 2 things. Apologize for ruining the company or commit suicide like the japanese. LOL
