The game industry should be grateful to Nintendo. They’re responsible for so many innovations in gaming its incredible. A lot of them we just take for granted now as standard gaming features. I just wanted to make a quick post to catalog some of the innovation over the years. Nintendo has been around since 1889. They started as a trading card company. We’ll skip over the days before the NES.

In the mid 1980’s Nintendo released the NES. This system blow away the Atari 2600 and quickly became the game console to get.

Superior graphics

In the late 1980’s the Gameboy was release. A real portable console, before the Gameboy the only portable games were those one off lcd games that could only display one image.

In the early 1990’s the Super Nintendo was released. The graphics were amazing when the snes first came out. The parallax scrolling was awesome, and the console would eventually get Street Fighter II. This system still holds up as a great pure gaming console.

FX chip allowed 3D gaming

In the mid 1990’s Nintendo released the Virtual Boy, this 32 bit system was a dub. It’s no wonder the system failed. It was high priced, gave users headaches, and was just a little weird. But I guess you could argue it did have value as an experiment in evolution of 3D gaming. Some credit has to be given for an attempt at something new.

Also in the mid 1990’s The Nintendo 64 was release. The analog sick and true 3D platform gaming were amazing.

In the late 1990’s Nintendo release the Gameboy Color. This system set the tone for how to correctly do hardware revs. Nintendo kept making incremental improvements to the hardware while maintaining a huge library of software.

In the early 2000’s Nintendo released the Gamecube. This size of the console, and the size of the discs were right on with the consoles market. Nintendo carved out a niche by focusing on gaming and low cost rather than horsepower.

Also in the early 2000’s Nintendo release the Gameboy Advance. Super Nintendo power to go.

2003 Gameboy Advance SP. A great little console with a very sleek design expanding on a huge software library.

In 2004 the DS was released. Two screens allows developers to be creative with new gameplay. Built in WiFi makes playing with your friends seamless. The touch pad and styles allow a new input type for games.

2006 the Nintendo WII. While everyone else is focused on Next Generation gaming horsepower, Nintendo caught caught everyone off guard with the revolutionary WII Remote.

my trip to states, which was in grand rapids, was alright and we lost. every single person doesn’t get to go to nationals which was in new york this year. who’s depressed??? me . oh yeah and here is the group. feel free to check out the one decent girl.

i found out today that we got 5th place

What is the goal that you are setting for yourself this summer…5lbs? 10lbs? Make a comment…and stick to it! I think I look fabulous, but a little toning never hurt no one.

I was able to grind 1500g in a week. So Sunday evening I at roughly 3000G, let’s see how much I’ll have by the end of the weekend. Granted I did play alot and had a few quests that gave nearly 100g (Ring of Blood, Gorefiend and Path of Conquest). Again, primals are selling well, so is Mountain Silversage and shockingly those stupid feathers from those bird guys!

Oh Gmaster’s bday is on wednesday - come on by for good times!

My quest book is full…and so are my bags, not good. So when i get home tonite I plan on empty everything out…even items that belong to quests e.g., use this discombobulator to trap X things Y times. Hopefully this won’t end like Bahammut Zero…let’s never speak of that again.

If only I knew how… as you can see from this video, this guy has buffs that never run out..ala unstable combustion, ice shield, renew, etc.

I am here to ask everyone to donate money to the American Cancer Society. The name says it all, so I don’t have to explain how important it is. If everyone could just donate a few bucks here and there it would be extremely helpful. Please help me raise money and for a added incentive…whoever gives me or Dan Madej the most money they will get a special gift from us.

Ask friends…co workers whatever you have to do, I personally like bringing in donuts to my fellow co workers and charge them 2 dollars a pop for each donut…delicious and evil!

So the History Channel scared the bejeezus out of me on Sunday. I have learned that Global Warming is going to kill us eventually and that a strange explosion occured in Russia during the 1900s. That strange explosion was a meteor/comet that fell on forrested area and with the possiblity of it returning except it might explode on top of a city or something.

This has taught me the value of life and time…must live to the fullest!
